The fee for filing Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or
Adjust Status, is $1,225, which includes the $1,140 application fee and the $85
biometric services fee. This fee is applicable for applicants 14 years of age or

Starting April 1, 2024, the fee will increase to $1,440 for applicants 14 years
of age or older, and there will no longer be a separate biometric services
fee【94†source】【96†source】. For applicants under 14 years of age, the fee will be
$750 if filing with a parent’s I-485 form【95†source】.
If you file additional forms like Form I-131 (Application for Travel Document)
or Form I-765 (Application for Employment Authorization) concurrently with Form
I-485, each will have separate fees: $630 for Form I-131 and $470 for Form I-765
if filed online, or $520 if filed on paper【94†source】.
